SEIKO｜Film Director / Stylist

 

2011年に単身ニューヨークへ渡り、Berkeley Collegeでファッションマーケティングを学ぶ。卒業後はスタイリスト、キャスティングディレクターとして独立し、ファッションを軸にビジュアル表現の経験を積む。

 

2020年に活動拠点を日本へ移し、映像監督としても活動を開始。企画・演出を手掛ける傍ら、スタイリストとしても活動を続けている。ファッションで培った審美眼を土台に、光や余白、空気感を大切にした詩的で情緒豊かな映像表現を追求。

 

人物の感情やブランドの思想を繊細にすくい上げ、静けさの中に印象的なドラマを生み出す演出を得意とする。

 

2024年、London Fashion Film FestivalにてBest Emerging Artistを受賞、Berlin Fashion Film FestivalではShortlistに選出。2026年には『映像作家100人』に選出。

SEIKO moved to New York in 2011, where she studied Fashion Marketing at Berkeley College. After graduating, she established herself as an independent stylist and casting director, building her career around fashion and visual storytelling.

In 2020, she relocated to Japan and began working as a film director, while continuing her practice as a stylist. She develops and directs visual projects, drawing on her fashion background and refined aesthetic sensibility. Her work explores poetic and emotionally resonant imagery, with a focus on light, negative space, and atmosphere.

She is known for delicately capturing human emotion and the essence of a brand, creating quiet yet memorable cinematic narratives.

In 2024, she received Best Emerging Artist at the London Fashion Film Festival and was shortlisted at the Berlin Fashion Film Festival. In 2026, she was selected for 100 Filmmakers in Japan.
